"Sir Date Cyriel, a noble robber, privateer (when profitable) and pirate (when privateering is not profitable), stood on the deserted shore of a secluded cove. Cyriel watched as his men swarmed about the barge in the roadstead. The pirates were adjusting the rigging and making repairs on the ship caught in a storm. The work was coming to an end, and according to calculations in one or two days the ship should have been ready for sailing. The only problem that bothered the captain was the running out of supplies. It was necessary to somehow get some fresh food before going out to sea. The problem was that the storm carried the barque far north to the shores of Virginia, far from the lured governors of small coastal towns and it was not possible to get supplies. All that remained was either to go out to sea on an empty stomach and fly at full steam to the Bahamas, where they already had to replenish their food supplies, or to rob a local settlement…"
