Hi

I get the impression that large cavalry screen were only really used around 1805 ie. the famous huge screen Napoleon and Murat used before Ulm. Am I right? Were there large screens used by French in 1809-14? Were they so commonplace that writers don't mention them as they were standard practice?

Cheers
Richard
