Here's my latest work, illness delayed, but I'm much better today. jim-duncan.blogspot.com/2021/05/epic-acw-kallistra-and-spencer-smith.html How do you guys represent 'empty' horses? Jim

That's how I am doing it. But for all our edification, during the Civil War the horseholders mainly remained mounted. It was easier for them to control their own mount and three others whilst mounted. [Edit -- I should have read the post on your blog where you said exactly what I said above.] But both your Kallistra and Spencer Smith cavalry units look excellent! Here's how I accomplished this task, using round bases for the horse holders: Union cavalry -- link Confederate cavalry -- link Jim |

I like the look of the new Warlord cavalry, but the prices are too high for me to get both mounted and dismounted. I was thinking about using Warlord mounted cavalry and Kallistra dismounted cavalry. Since they will never be on the table together, the big differences shouldn't be an issue. What do you guys think? |

I use bases about half the size of JimDuncans. They hold one standing horse holder and one horse. I figure if I am going to be incorrect I'm not going to pay too much for it. |
