Was curious what folks liked in a record card ? I am working on smaller cards(playing card size) so I can use less ink and use card protectors. sta.sh/01jlo9o7nfju Trying to work out that fine balance of simpler game play with added details to make it interesting. TIA, Kirk |

I like playing card size, personally, but do test the legibility of it. As to card layout, if some of the values are only ever a couple of boxes, you could make a second partial column to use the space more efficiently. Or have the front be the side to track adjustable stats (like damage) while fixed stats go on the back. |

Font is too heavy for such a small font size. Font size is really too small as well. Push the image up and/or make it smaller. Try wrapping the chevron hit bubbles more, have 2 columns of hit locations. For the right-hand column, try left-aligning just past the midpoint of the card, then try putting the icons down the right edge of the card with the bubbles to their left. For flag and man, the bubbles need to start aligned with the first bubble in all of other rows (all of the rows need to have their first bubble aligned vertically). |

Yes, font is too small. It looks like you made the font bold so they would seem to be bigger, but it just makes the font fuzzy. I like where you're going though. |

You have a lot of white space in the lower right. Consider putting your data in 2 columns, with 2 rows of hit boxes as needed. That might give you enough space to increase the font size a bit. Or put the data icons in 2 rows down the middle with the hit point circles to the left and right. It would give you more of a centered look, but that may cause some confusion for new players. |

Ok, went with the two column approach. Content/damage bubbles to the left and right. link and an alternate version link |

Well, that doesn't look as good as I thought it might. Maybe just put it in 2 columns: icon | # | circles || icon | # | circles Sorry to give you more work, I hope you get what you want out of it, though. |

Updated the alternate version, like this a little better link |

There you go. How's the font size? readable? |
Kirk Alderfer | 15 May 2021 12:26 p.m. PST |
Font size is Arial 6, not bold. Readable, I think so. Its been suggested I try Visio or Inkscape. Using PowerPoint as thats what I have. So considering I dont think it looks bad. And they print well. Will work on the Transport, Small Combat Unit and Installations tonight. |
