I am about to dip my toe into WW2 as a contrast to my Napoleonic endeavours. I am quite an experienced figure painter but motor vehicles are terra incognita. Can anyone advise me on a good book about panting 20mm or 1/72 scale soft skin and armoured vehicles?

There's a book?

I would second the above Osprey title. It's by Alex Clark who is an exceptional 1/72 modeller.

An article by him is also included in:
"How to Paint 1:72 Military Vehicles" from Ammo. Well worth getting.

AK Interactive has great free pdfs and videos. They also do excellent books and such. Highly recommended. I love their paints.
