For my Prussians I decided to do full regiments of three battalions, 2 musketeer one grenadier, this new organization was introduced after the death of Frederick the Great by Friedrich Wilhelm II, so one permanent grenadier battalion per regiment, of 4 companies – this lasted till 1797.
He also abolished the legendary mitre caps – the grenadiers had the usual hat but with a white plume and a grenade at the front flap.
There the grenadiere did not carry colours, I decided to take an NCO who lifted his sponton to give a point of view, this was just an experiment.
those are nice sculpts by Sho, even sculpting grenadier cartridge pouch flaps, strangely enough I couldn't find them in his shop, but they are sculpted.
The mounted officers is an abused Austrian officers, painted as Prussian, the horse is AB.

Exquisite VW.
Can't understand why Prussia never used fanions like Frence and America did to substitute full flags. Makes me think they might not be as important as thought to identify unit positions.

Splendid work!
And now there will be picture with grenadier cartridge pouch flaps in my homepage. :-)

Also VW will soon receive the surprise parcel with one special figure, he wanted to paint. I already started to paint this figure but as I am very slow, VW probably may finish it first.

Sho you should show unpainted grenadiers as well on your shop, you list them put it would help also that people would see it, otherwise they won't realize that they exist.

It was good fun to paint your lovely miniatures, thanks for sculpting the grenadiere.

Yes, Prussian grenadiere did not use colours, till the new organisation in the so called New Prussian Army – when they receive a colour.

As to the value, I guess more esprit de corps than anything else and Prussian grenadiers seemingly did not need it.
