How do you prime old Glory resin stuff? both buildings and boats. I just cant seem to get anything to stick. I have washed the models thoroughly. Is there something else I need to do? |

Washed with what? I use Comet (a Sink cleaner) and Windex (a window cleaner with Ammonia in it). This combo on ingredients along with water and a stiff scrub brush should do the trick to wash them. I spray paint with a primer of black, very dark brown or gray depending on what I am working on. Krylon is my favorite brand of spray paints. |

Gesso has worked great for me. |

I primer my figures, resin, metal or plastic, with water soluble grey house primer. Works fine as long as you are careful not to let it pool in the cracks or obscuring the details. |

I have primed mine with the same white spray primer, Krylon or Rustoleum, with no problems. I just wash them first with a few drops of Dawn in water. Tom

Gotta break down the casting release agent 70-90% isopropyl alcohol removes all common release agents the most effectively. |
