Gents,

Here is a battle report featuring lots of pikemen as well as dozens of elephants and a large number of cavalry. As the title informs, it was played using ADLG. (Sidebar: I have search far and wide but have yet to find a collection of historical refights using ADLG.)

Thanks for taking this on and reporting back. I've often thought (as the owner of a Ptolemaic army) that Raphia would be an interesting refight – not all pike pushing because quite a lot else went on too. And it is one we have reasonable information about.

Thanks for taking the time to read or wade through the relatively lengthy narrative. I believe Simon Miller (he of To The Strongest! fame) took this on in the proper way with 25/28mm figures and a giant table. Although I don't own either army, I agree that it is an interesting contest and one worth revisiting at some point.
