"The Pledge April 2021" Topic

Yay! I painted 25 figures this month, in spite of having to complete my income tax. To make the situation even better, I didn't buy anything in April!

So, for the year here's where I stand:
Purchased: 35
Painted: 81

A total positive count of 46 figures.

Not a good month. Made a purchase from Amazon and my wife bought me figures for my birthday. Also spent most of my time painting for others.

Likewise, not a good month, as I needed to be busy with other things.

I did finish flags for the Portuguese and Austrians, even had a go at the Austrian stripey flagpoles, and have basecoated the odds and ends of Brits I need to finish those rgts.

Depending on how things go in May I hope to finish and base the British and maybe start on the French at long last.

I was pretty sure this was not going to be a positive month due to the large OG15s order I had coming in. Unfortuntely I added to it with the Warlord sprue sale, and some Warlord tanks I got a deal on. Here is the damage;

Not as gruesome as I was thinking it was going to be but bad none the less. I don't have any major purchases planned till late summer at this point so I should be back on the plus side this month. I did take some time away from painting last month, was just getting burnt out. Back on track though. Gaming should start returning to normal in the KC area so that should motivate me this summer.

Finally into the black. I've held off buying and have been diligent in assembling and painting my ACW collection. The ACW paints quickly and I'm waiting for a restock at Age of Glory before I pickup any more figures.

I had a pretty good month which was bolstered by not receiving any minis (not for lack of trying)

106 minis painted (half of which are 6mm troops and 1 minute paint jobs on terrain so it feels like cheating)

I'm up 257 figures YTD.

One of these days my preorders and kickstarters will arrive and I'll be WAY in the negative!
