Hello everyone,

Apart from Britannia Miniatures, which offers 28 mm miniatures for the Simba rebellion which took place, from 1961 to 1964, in Congo-Léopoldville (today the Democratic Republic of the Congo)?
Is there a specific rule to simulate this with miniatures?
Thank you.

If you want Europeans, Badger/Mongrel has some:

Eureka also has a Rhodesian Wars line.

I don't know of anyone besides Britannia that makes Simbas.

While I love both Badger and Eureka figures, these lines are not considered compatible on my table. I have both within my collection.

The Eureka figures are more slimmer than the Badger ones.

As a follow up question, how do Britannia figures measure up?

The Britannia figures are quite different(and dated) in style than anything else. I convert miniatures into simbas with head swaps using african heads (from Foundry Darkest Aftice)

What kind of rule are you looking for?

Is there a specific rule to simulate this with miniatures?

If you can find a copy "Bush Wars" from the Ambush Alley (Force on Force) rules is worth it's weight in gold. A few special rules and lots of support info.

AK47 rules have been written for this period then got expanded to cover other African wars.

Thanks everyone,

I want to play with 28mm figures,so it's only Britannia Miniatures doing Simba figures?

And as a rule of the game, there are only "Bush Wars" and "AK47" "rules?

They are rules of skirmish?

And for documentation on the organizations, equipment and clothing of the various belligerents?

AK47 I think were originally written for 15mm games or smaller but I have used and seen other gamers using the rules for 28mm figures, you just need a bigger table.
Your troops are formed into units and operate as such but the game has a skirmish feel to it.

Hi,
Too Fat Lardies do a supplement for I Ain't Been Shot Mum for the African bush wars called B'maso
link

It has a section on the Simba revolt including a scenario.
It's not stand alone so you need the I Ain't Been Shot Mum rules to play. These are company level so not skirmish.
Both the rules and B'maso are available as pdfs.

If your of the type of gamer who likes to build your own rules, then One Hour Skirmish may be a good fit. I modified it for the Rhodesian War and it worked quite well. My main modification was to create limited card decks based on troop quality.
