On this day in 1863, 65 soldiers of the French Foreign Legion held off up to 3,000 Mexican troops in the La Trinidad Hacienda. When the defenders' ammunition ran out after 8 hours of fighting, the remaining 5 legionnaires mounted a bayonet charge. When he learned that he had been fighting 65 men all day, Colonel Milan, the Mexican commander, said: "These are not men! They are demons!"

Not sure they yet have la légionnaire. Politically correct, diversity and all the crap fails on realities. Imagine tchetchen légionnaires with the next 42 or else genres. 😃

They have 5-7 candidates for one slot.

Tiens, voilà du boudin, voilà du boudin, voilà du boudin
Pour les Alsaciens, les Suisses et les Lorrains.
Pour les Belges, y en a plus, pour les Belges, y en a plus,
Ce sont des tireurs au cul. (bis)

Vive la legion !!!
