With the Army's "Band of Brothers" and the Marines' "The Pacific" mini-series out, the US Army Air Force finally gets its own mini-series -- "Masters of the Air" has begun production as an Apple TV+ release. link Since my father was a top-turret gunner and flight engineer on an 8th Air Force B-17, this is definitely one I'll be seeing. Hopefully it will eventually become available somewhere besides Apple TV. |

Apple just produced what MIGHT be the Greatest TV series of all time… "For All Mankind"…give both the show and the channel a chance. |

I got Apple TV for free when I got a new phone. When I logged in, I still had to pay for anything I wanted to watch. Yeah, no. |

$25 USD Million an episode seems like a very hefty price. I hope they get their money's worth for it. A pity the series is only slated for 10 episodes too. I would like to see it eventually, but will probably need to wait for a CD release, if that ever happens, since I don't have an Apple, nor do I want to sign up for an account with them. In the interim, I'm really enjoying the old 12 O'Clock High episodes, and now in season 3, they're finally in color, which is wonderful. Much better than the black and white episodes of the first two seasons. |

I am still waiting for 'Greyhound" to be out on DVD rather than just Apple. |

I am with 45thdiv, got Apple TV free for a year with my new Ipad purchase. Logging on found next to nothing free and anything worth watching cost and wasnt cheap. Adding insult to injury after the free period you would pay a monthly fee for the right to pay to watch their shows. Pity because really would like to see this new series. |

This weekend I had this same conversation at church with a huge film collector. Streaming series and movies almost never make it to physical media. I want to say never but you never know. As soon as Disney or whomever puts it on media, they lose the reason for getting people to subscribe. BTW the typical season for streaming series is 8 to 10 episodes. Others are much shorter, like the latest on Disney+. |

It's called "Piece of Cake." If it's not Derek Robinson, it's probably not worth watching. |

One of my lads told me tonight that Apple is to do with streaming. Streaming I gather. It seems this is nothing to do with the dish on my outside wall. Also my laptop caused howls of laughter. It is only 11 years old and actually it works better than the PC. Truth is the PC is older and it is really really slow now…..we are talking slow to start each morning. We all know that feeling, but for me coffee helps. |
