I'm continuing to expand my 'completed' WOTR army with this latest group of Hand Gunners. I am aware that I am pushing my luck in including these, so those of a strong historical disposition should look away now… However, if you just enjoy your modelling and wargaming, as I do, there are a few more details in my blog here:

Nice. One suggestion. Arquebuses were commonly painted/stained. So you could deviate from brown wood for variety's sake

Well done. Perfect for the Italian Wars!

Possibly useful for Battle of Stoke 1487…

If you want to stay in the historical context of the costum you will be in the 1515 to 1540 era. That said, these are fine miniatures. In an English context you could use them for Guinegate 1513, as Imperial Allies for the English expedition into France 1521, or for the "what if" counterinvasion of France into England 1514 (payback for 1513). And of course as members of any Imperial or French army in the Italian wars. Defend Vienna in 1529 against Suleyman! Sack Rome 1527, besiege Florence in 1530 or conquer Tunis in 1535.
