I had not seen STAW before. But a couple days ago my FLGS had a couple boxes in and it looked good. I have always liked the minis, and getting pre-painted ones sounded great. i saw the notice need a starter pack to play, which the store did not have. no biggie I think, I will just order one from wizkids when i get home. Silly me, apparently they still make new stuff, but no longer sell the needed starter packs. What kind of a deal is this?Anybody have any idea how or where to find the needed components like the damage deck or turn gauges to be able to play this? Pretty bummed out to dump a fair bit of cash for a game the company knows you wont be able to play. |

Check E-Bay or whole sellers in your country. |

Hello, Attack Wing is indeed a great game and if you know how to play X-Wing then you know how to play Attack Wing as they utilize many of the same principles. Unfortunately though, the game is over 7 years old and Wizkids has a poor track record of supporting it over the last couple of years. The two new fleet packs that just came out were supposed to be released almost 2 years ago! Neither Miniature Market nor Noble Knight have a starter set available and e-bay has a couple from England but at astronomical pricing. Also, be aware that there are two (2) starter sets out there, a v1 and v2. The rules were updated and they started to screw around with the cards, changing point values and layout, mostly for tournament purposes. They are all still completely compatible if you can get either one. E-Bay is indeed a rich source for all other aspects of the game including most of the tournament resources and prize ships. In the mean time I would recommend Star Trek Alliance: Dominion War Campaign. A new game just released. It is attack wing in a cooperative style (it uses the A.I. from the Star Wars X-Wing Arturi Cluster cooperative campaign). Best of luck on your search, hope this helps a little, even though it it not the best of news. Tom D |

Owen, I live in Oregon and have an original starter set plus nine ships (including 3 klingons and 1 enterprise from the animated series) for a total of 12 ships. Includes all cards, dice, tokens. Contact me at daronkpatton at yahoo.com if you might be interested in them Thanks, Daron |
