Good to see it worked for you.
I've been making my own terrain for better part of 40 years off and on. Depends on employment and need at the right time to buy 'professional' stuff.

But i've always neem on the fringe of model railways so heavily into 'realistic scenes', if not scenery (though i spent a decade detailling a guys payout for him).

In my own gaming hobby, I use spray cans on old bed linen sheets, canvas (retired and well worn); carved poolystyrene for hills (some coloured and decorated, others just shapes) etc. and of course hedges and tree rows, lined roads etc.

You can do amazing things really cheap if you know what you're looking at and a bargain when you see them!
Good work, cheers dave

Looks really good with your mini's -- an excellent match, they look very much at 'home' on that mat! Very nice work. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

Nice job. I've made 2 mats the same way. I'm surprised you got so many creases though.

im surprised by the creases. a bit concerning

Very nice but you forgot to iron the mat before putting the caulking.

Iron the mat? Wouldn't that melt the plastic? Yeah, the creases aren't ideal but other than that it went ok, might
try a roller or something before doing it again.
