Hi all.

I am painting some forces for the November Revolution in Germany 1918/19. I am painting the wonderful Empress Miniatures range in 28mm and would like to ask for some information regarding some certain deatils:

German Police uniform. General colour of uniform and equipment.

Armoured car colour schemes for both sides. Were they green, grey or some other colour, and did they have markings etc.

I have the Osprey book on the Frei Korps and done a few Google searches but generally only turned up black and white photo's of the vehicles.
Any information or pointers to useful websites would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

In March 1918, the German command introduced a standard deforming paint for armored vehicles. Irregular red-brown, light-green and lemon-yellow spots and stripes of irregular shape were applied on top of the fieldgrau. Trophy technique could stay in their old colors, but with the application of the German markings.

I think you can see if there is a similar camouflage on an armored car or not, even from a black and white photo.

As an aside, may I introduce you to some really interesting part of the militant and bloody post WWI class struggles in Germany, that were highly influential and dramatic back then, but more or less forgotten now.
The Ruhr Uprising in 1920

I happen to be born and raised in that area.
