and assorted they surely are!

During the hiatus on International deliveries Art Minaturen would not/could not ship to the UK. As I am still trying to help with the Waterloo Project I was distraught. Fortunately James had a bunch of old figures lying around unpainted so I set to.

Everythig here from Dragoons, Uhlans, ADCs, various Landwehr, line in greatcoats and those chaps in green.

Oh yes, some HA just lacking a gun!

A tiny fraction of what is needed but actually proved fun to paint as quite a variety;

I agree – beautiful, I particularly like the Landwehr with shakos.

You are very welcome. The recent work on Plancenoit has encouraged me to press on with Prussians. But I confess I am a sucker for cavalry. The Prussian Hussars arrived a few minutes ago and they are superb quality. Half have a slung pelisse, which is perhaps atypical for Prussians, but it of course looks far better. This are a great improvement on the Saxon hussars, but even they are growing on me in the early painting stage.

The above figures go in the post at 1430 today. No post office for miles now, but a little van parks in the pub for two one hour sessions a week. This in the 21st Century………

Thanks Liam, I'll keep an eye out for them! The diorama will soon have boards covering further east allowing some depth for Prussian cavalry and guns.

Many thanks again for the feedback. After seeing the photos I suddenly thought…..no spurs on the Uhlans! None of the horses have any brasswork. Fixed those two issues and packed teh figures in bubblewrap, boxed, sealed and then remembered I had meant to do the chin straps for the Uhlans….too late by then.

I must now post a request re the pelisse fur colour for troopers of 1st Squadron 8th Hussars. White or black? I have seen both shown.
