All: If you are an HMGS member, the election opened on Friday night. You should have rec'd an email. If you don't have it, check your spam folder. If you still don't have it, contact me at election@hmgs.org. Will get it straightened out. John |

Are the candidate statements found within the ballot, or are they posted elsewhere? |

Everyone I know has dropped there membership because of the moves they have made with the conventions. |

Candidate Statements are with the ballot and the BoD is working to get them on the HMGS YM site. |

I would hope that most would keep their membership to help support the organization as it tries to tackle the effects of the Pandemic which has impacted us in so many ways, upon our conventions… and to have a say in its future! |

The candidate bios are a pdf accessible from a link below the Vote button in the ballot |

Your platitude is duly noted, Gonsalvo. But given I've voted for 30 years for conventions at the western end of the region, emphasis on historical miniatures gaming and daylight flea markets on the first full day of the convention, I'm starting to feel like my old lab rat, still pressing the disconnected food bar thinking maybe this time it will work. I'm sorry, Brunhilda! |

Robert, As I understand it the "center of gravity" of the membership AND the limited availability of sites that can handle our conventions severely limit the available options for venues. If you have specific ideas as to possible sites, I'm sure the BoD could evaluate them, if they haven't already done so. |

For the "center of gravity" of HMGS membership to be reflected in the BOD's lasting affection for beachfront property, Gonsalvo, I can only assume we have a LOT of Lovecraftian fishmen on our rolls. Have you noticed more of the "Innsmouth look" in the gaming areas than I have? (Admittedly, the lighting was pretty bad at Timonium, but I think I would have noticed.) And evidently now we must "incentivize the vendors." (I thought retailers were supposed to attract customers. I've clearly been out of it too long.) |

An update, based on a question I recieved: Current BoD is working to get the bios on the HMGS YM site. No sure if that is accomplished or not yet. Bios are available on the voting site, but you don't have to submit your vote the first time you access the site. Can access, download information, leave site and then return at a later time to cast your ballot, as long as you cast your ballot before the election closes on 7 June. Paper ballots will contain the bios to be read prior to voting. |

"2021 Candidate Bios" are in the "HMGS: Members" Group on HMGS YM (Groups are under MyProfile at hmgs.org) in the "Election Information" folder. |

Thanks, John. Direct link (not sure if this will work) link Tried it and it seemed to, although I was already signed in to the site. |

Rec'd my paper ballot on Friday. Use paper or electrons, I don't care. Just vote! A little over 25% participation, so far. |
