Here are some pictures from a game that was hosted by my friend, Scott, back around 2016. This game was done in 6mm using the Mein Panzer advanced rules with some additional modifications.

This scenario represents the initial assault on the small town of Marnach on December 16th 1944, by elements of the 2nd Panzer Division. In our game, the town was defended by a company plus of the 28th Infantry Division with a tank platoon arriving later.

Due partly to the ambitious nature of the scenario and losing some of our players, we were unable to complete the game as the workload became too much for the remaining players. When the game was ended, it looked like the Germans definitely had their work cut out for them and the town was still holding.

Now that's a battlefield!

Pete, your terrain, or is your friend as crafty as you too!?

Epic!

Excellent! The houses are made from cardboard?

Thank you all very much, I appreciate it.

Hi FlyXwire! The terrain is just about all mine except for a couple of the buildings which were provided by another player.

Most of the vehicles were provided by my friend, Scott. I provided most if not all of the infantry for both sides. I remember painting up the GHQ Late War German infantry to get ready.

Hi Valderian! The buildings are from a variety of manufacturers. These include GHQ, Architectural Heritage, and some other manufacturers that I cannot identify. There are some paper buildings in the mix as well. These were printed off, assembled, and given to me by another friend a while back. They are very nice as well.

Here are some examples of the paper buildings used in this game. My personal favorite is the barn/stable but all the buildings look pretty good.

The chapel, which is the last building, was not actually used in this scenario but was a prominent feature during one of our Modern Lithuania scenarios a while back.

Wow! I will be looking more into this type of buildings. They look very nice and they certainly weight practically nothing.
