I've seen vids of people trying garum and they say it's OK, and nothing like you'd think given its composition.

Worcestershire Sauce is actually made from fermented anchovies. It can't be far off Garum.

I went and got some Colatura di alici (anchovy drippings) from the local Italian store and made Parthian Chicken.

I've made it 3 times now. Very nice!

We use garum daily in SE Asia; appetising and very versatile.
