I have looked for source and am drawing a blank.

I am after documented accounts of how heavy the ground fire really was. I recently saw un-released footage of the Dunkirk beaches and so much was shooting upwards I wondered on the German aspect of it.

Please i'm not into opinions just facts.

Is there a link to that footage, or is it in a private collection or archive?

The Nazi propaganda image shows German Wehrmacht shows British anti-aircraft (flak) cannons in French Dunkirk after the British pulled out and German Wehrmacht troops occupied the town. Taken June 1940. A Nazi state reporter has written on the reverse of the picture on 08.06.1940 'On Dunkirk beach. Hastily abandoned English Flak positions.'
