Experimenting with the oversized "Heroic 20mm" Valiant miniatures as a basis for cheap Imperial Guard/ Colonial Marines/ generic human sci-fi troops. Accessorised with cardboard, greenstuff and granny grating, I think these make for a pretty decent and VERY affordable alternative… check it out: link

Nice work, I tried downsizing the human troops many years ago by using Denizen and GZG 25mm. Great minds and all that! What i really want to know is if that forgotten 1990s ruleset is Kryomek? Keep up thine thrifty ways and more power to you Glen

Interesting. I considered using Valiant US infantry to pad out my 25mm GZG. I was aiming to make them look like RAFM's 15mm low and mid tech soldiers from their Traveller range. Bottled it and just started painting them as vanilla WWII US infantry.

Years ago i emailed the valiant guy about the scale and he point blank refused to accept they were oversized.
