Can't disagree with a thing you said. But my point was to point out the ridiculous statement about rifles having ten times the range as muskets.

I was done with this thread until the 10x was brought up. Then I had to put on my tweed jacket with the leather patches, light my pipe and bloviate about stuff I have only a vague idea about.

So. If the musket is good up to 300 yards, and the flintlock is therefore good to 3000, we need to equip our Seal snipers with Pennsylvania longs.

Since we are going down that road:
