I've recently purchased a large amount of very tiny 3d printed triremes for Salamis. They're based on 30mm squares, 3 Triremes a square. I'm thinking of making 3 bases a unit.

Most trireme games are at a scale where a unit represents a ship – are there any rulesets that are more abstracted where a unit can represent a big squadron?

If they are on 30mm square bases then it sounds like they were made for my fleet action set, "He Hemetera Thalassa, Mare Nostrum"

Come to think of it, if they are 3D printed they may well be from the set of models I put up on Wargame Vault and Thingiverse as a free download:

For those of us without a 3D printer or the skill to use one, where can already printed versions be purchased?

I guess the easiest way is to find a local friend who can print things for you, but if you Google "3D printing near me" you will probably find some options. Then jut download the file and take to the print shop

Make sure it's a high detail printer – the first few places I went to said "no can do" because the minis are so small.

I had a rules question – I'm having trouble parsing the move tables statement that "Fleet admiral not within 6 MU of any squadron" -3.

Does that just mean that if my squadron is farther than 6 MU from a fleet admiral they get -3 to their roll? It's phrased differently than the other penalties, which is why I was doubting.

If that is the case, does that mean in a situation where a fleet admiral is in the leading squadron they really shouldn't move their full MU allowance, because then the rear squadrons immediately following them will be far enough away that they'll take a penalty?
