Back in December I got an order for some of my PaperTerrain products from a person in Spain. I mailed out the order right away. After about a month I got an email from the buyer saying the package had not arrived. I suggested patience and they agreed, but when it still had not showed up in February they asked for a refund and I gave it immediately. Yesterday I got another email from the customer saying that the package had arrived! 4 months after I sent it! So not only had it taken 4 months to get to Spain, but the customer was honest enough to let me know and ask how they could pay me for it. If they had said nothing I never would have known and they would have gotten it for free, but they wanted to pay. I gave them a discount for their honesty :)

Yes a good person. I wish more E-bay Buyers would follow his lead.

Some years ago, I made several orders from some English & continental figure & terrain makers; I can't remember which company it was (maybe Wargames Foundry), but one's products arrived within 2 weeks, others took up to 1-2 months, & I never got my order from another one.

Had a similar experience recently. Something ordered took months. A small retailer selling through Amazon. When I inquired, the retailer said no problem, they'd refund, but they had to manage this through Amazon, so I reported it and got my money back.

The next day, the item (a book) arrived.

Re-contacted the retailer, who was thankful, as I said reverse the refund. But she re-directed me to Amazon again, to reverse it.

After three emails, two calls, and an on-line chat the transcript of which reads like a dialogue between people speaking different languages, Amazon… refunded me a second time!!

I gave up and called the UK-based retailer directly. Over the phone, we sorted it out. She got her $20. USD Amazon lost $40. USD I received the book.

We're so use to light speed mail that when it doesn't come we thing something is wrong.

I have found that orders from overseas are taking a lot longer now.

There was one vendor that at about the same week I thought it was time to request an shipment update, the shipment would arrive.
