I ran a two player game of "For Whom The Dice Rolls" against another blogger this week, and we have both now posted our accounts of what happened. Makes interesting reading, comparing the two accounts: Here's mine: link and here's Jon's: link More details on the rules used are here: link |

Nice to see a good looking larger scale SCW game! Thanks. John |

@John Leahy: Thanks. This is actually at the small end of a FWTDR sized game, as the rules cope up to Divisional level. I think that actions of this level are what distinguish the early period of the SCW, and that's what I wanted to capture with the rules. |

I've been following both blogs AARs. Great stories. The "details on the rules" page is very well done and it would be good to see more authors do that sort of thing. |

@FusilierDan: Good to hear you enjoy the AARs. Thanks for the kind words on the FWTDR page. As a relative newbie I keep trying to find ways to convince people to pick the rules up, short of giving them away. With the hours of work that go into development, testing and publication that's not going to happen as it isn't like I'm loss leading to sell figures or scenery. |

@Boristhe Spider: Surprisingly for me there is no grid! The table top area in the picture is 6' x 4'. |

Very nice posting – not often you get AARs from the two sides of a battle and interesting to see – thanks for sharing! |

@Frederick: I thought that too. JF often blogs about the games of mine he plays in, but rarely in such detail, so it was too good to miss. |
