So it's been six months, maybe closer to 9 since I checked the FW site. I just noticed the Spartan is out of print. I'm assuming this is forever and it's not just being retooled in a new version? Anyone have any further details? This would pretty much signal the end of gaming the Horus Heresy for me. |

There is talk of a plastic starter box set of HH stuff in the future. They maybe making a plastic model of the Spartan. |

Jeez I hope so man. Both would be warmly welcomed. I would have bet they'd do a plastic Land Raider Proteus before a Spartan though. Who knows. |

Haha, I wish it was a joke Joedog. It was a really nice model. As for being sold out, for yourself. link Unless you were referring to the possible boxed set. (And that would just be downright mean of Wackamole). |

To me 40k now has so many new (and bad) figures, the cracks will have to show. I'm not sure how many armies there are, but a load more seemed to have been added over the last decade or two. Mecha dudes, gene Simmons cults, plus super marines, of course. That's a lot of extra models. Has there been an equal loss to compensate? Some armies, such as necrons and marines just seem to vomit new troops at an alarming rate. I remember necrons having a few warriors, immortals, destroyer, scarabs and lord (actually even less before that!). Now they have loads. Add the modern fad of each figure in a unit having to be different, so you go from 3-4 variants to 10-20. This becomes a seemingly unsustainable number of models. Throw in profit margins and hungry shareholders… Perhaps GW are simply cutting off dead wood? Heck, they seem to have a forrest to fell. |

To be honest I don't think GW''s heart was ever into supporting HH. They never or rarely put out complete mini lines for the various Legions. Then over the past 3-4 years theyve eliminated just as many mini codes each year as they release. Plus the rules and codicies never got the love that 40k does. It's too bad. I've been waiting to play 30k since GW first released the old epic game "Space Marine". I much prefer the HH to whatever 40k has become these days. I think GW screwed themselves on the HH when they failed to release the 3rd Starter Set. That was a signal to the fans that the 30k Line would never be fully supported. If GW ever did release a 3rd HH boxed set I'd buy 2 just to support the line. Alas, I doubt that will ever happen. |

Well, if your happy buying more, maybe others are too? Get people to contact GW, or organise a list and send it to them. Maybe if they get enough interest/pre-orders, they will do something. An easy idea may be to get everyone interested to buy multiples of a certain figure, tell GW (everyone tell GW) what is going on. Preferably have everyone buy at the same time. When they see that figure selling out, they may take it seriously. Then they may make what you all want. |

I did end up gething in touch with FW. At least as far as the Spartan is concerned they said no reason to fear. It's simply being "repackaged" for future sales. Good news then. |
