I painted a commission for a large Dark Ages Norse Irish Army, individually based for games like Saga.

The collection had a mixture of painting levels, with troops painted to my 'Call to Arms' level, Heathguard and Command painted to 'NCO' level and the Heroes and High Command painted to my highest 'Officer' level.

All the shield designs were also painted freehand, as were the Banners.

It was such a great force to paint up, with such rich reference material, I had such fun!

If you fancy a Dark Age warband of your own then just let me know.

Thanks guys!

Excellent! I really can't tell the differences in levels from the picture. They are all very good.

Thanks for the nice comments guys, glad you like them!

Legionarius – The bottom two photos have all figures painted to 'NCO' level. If you follow the link you can see more close up shots of the different figure levels. You can also have a look on my website too, under the 'commissions' page
