If you are posting a link, for example, to a painted miniature that you admire, please make sure to credit that artist appropriately.

In many cases, a picture link may not indicate the webpage or website where the picture comes from. In these cases, please include the link to that webpage.

Please make sure that the link goes to the webpage WHERE THE PIC IS. It is unfair to link to a picture, then link to somewhere else. For example, if you are linking to a picture on a blog, include the link to the blog article, not a link to the artist's Facebook page that has no mention of that picture.

Posts may be removed if the source of the picture is not properly credited, as it is unfair to the source.

Agreed – there is never a reason not to civil

I rarely post any images other than my own. Do I need to state that I am the artist? Serious question. I don't always post a link to my blog, when I post my own images. I also frequently post my own images from my Google Photo's account (this is likely obvious, but I want to cover my bases). Cheers!

I agree with Frederick. There is never a reason not to give credit by name to the painter when it is not your work.
Just as there is never a reason not to give credit, by name, to a blog when it is not your work.

Sgt Slag: I think the easiest solution is to just write "My work" at the beginning of the post. Bill specified, "that you admire," which is different from "that you created."
