Please see the links below for two AARs of refights of the Battle of Flodden, using Baccus 6mm figures and a scenario from Miniature Wargames 41:

Not often you see a battle done back to back with different rules sets – thanks for sharing!

Thanks for posting your AARs. Nice scenery and figures as well. Flodden is one of my favorites battles due to the artwork found in Richard Humble's The Soldier and Charles Knightly's book (or rather booklet) on the battle. Humble's book has some excellent artwork that really captures the desperate and brutal nature of the combat.

Always wanted to collect armies for the battle. Maybe one day in 10mm.

Thanks both. Doing it with the proper figures in 10mm would look really nice, my set-up is a little too 'generic Western European c.1475' rather than accurate for this particular battle. And I do feel a bit bad about my Highlanders being Celts designed for c.1600 years before Flodden! Still, I am always going to make good scenarios fit the figures, and my blog is called Heretical Gaming for a reason…

Very interesting to see reports of two rule sets side by side.

Excellent!

Still looks great and I've read that the English wore older style armour so the 1470s stuff would accurate.

Thanks very much all, appreciate it.
