Yesterday saw the release of my third Big Game Podcast with guest Dr Chris Brown who is an expert in both Medieval Scottish History and the WW2 Arnhem Campaign.

It's a great interview where Chris talks about wargames rules from a historians perspective and how he runs his games with a very heavily modified version on Bolt Action.

At the end of the interview he talks about Arnhem 21 a Big Game event he is holding in September this year at a Hotel in the middle of Arnhem. The hotel itself was there during the Battle and is visible 8n a number of contemporary photos.

Look out for the best film review of Braveheart you will ever hear during the course of the interview.

Podcast available on all major hosts, Podbean, Apple, Google, Tune In, Spotify etc just search for Yarkshire Gamer or follow the link above and yes they are 54mm Panthers.

it was great fun to tale part! Jus an extra comment…the Arnhem event is not just a big game, but a whole weekend of games. It;s nit a big event – limited to 50 participants and so far we have Bolt Action, Rapid Fire, Bello Ludi, Fire for Effect, Battlegroup and hopefully Chain of Command as well. The venue is the NH Rijn Hotel again – a battle location in its own right and bang in the middle of a crucial axis of the fighting. We have a dedicated Facebook page -- 'Arnhem21 ' -- The event is 17/18/19th September and we have arranged a very good rate for rooms at the hotel. The Panthers are part of my wife's collection and wont be coming with us, but we will have lots of 28mm armies available to borrow.
