To overcome painting fatigue – trying out new horse colours, shading etc, I painted miniatures from Black Hussar, sculpted by Frank Germershaus and Minden sculpted by the late Richard Ansell, though different sculpting styles I like both miniatures, the crisp embroidery sculpted by Richard Ansell is incredible detailed and I tried my best to do the sculpting credit.

Excellent work! I did the Soubise mini from Front Rank – also did the red coat. As a Marshal of France Soubise could pretty much wear what he wanted but there is a nice contemporary print of him in that pretty red coat

I am NOT posting my pictures though – looking at your superb brushwork that would be taking a knife to a gun fight!
