"As a hobbyist, I am always looking for new challenges, either in the stories in the books I read or in the images that fortunately today are more abundant and easier to get.

The vignette that I present to you is based on a painting by the Spanish painter César Álvarez Dumont (Vila Real-Portugal, January 28, 1866 – Marbella, 1945) very possibly inspired by the text of the National Episode by Benito Pérez Galdós that recounts the episode that took place. on February 1, 1809, during the second Siege of Zaragoza, in the War of Independence (1808-1814)…"
