A few people asked about size comparisons between Wargames Atlantic and other brands of plastic 28mm figures so I figured that I would a quick comparison of a few prominent brands.

I added a group shot (well three actually) to the blog, see below

This was a very useful posting that deserved a much greater response. We need far more of this kind of thing. Not just "I painted these figures and they look cool" but a critical review of everything that is available, warts and all.

That Plastic Model Soldier Review website is just superb, but only deals with 20mm/ 1/72.

I wonder if a crossposting to the Napoleonic Discussion Board would have got far more readers?

Interesting that, based on the blog photos, some of these "28mm" figures approach 40mm in height.

Camcleod04 Apr 2021 5:26 p.m. PST

The 28mm height is nominally from heel to eyeball. Headgear is extra.

+1 ok!

With Wargames Atlantic coming out with Prussian Reserve infantry I am wondering what other lines (metal or plastic) would be compatible? The blurb on them says that the buyer has to purchase his command from another source (ie. the kit doesn't come with command.)
