Any suggestions as to German Heer troop miniatures that match Warlord's 28mm is size and build? I'm looking to find figures of the hastily gathered home guard type (young and old in non-existent uniforms and poorly armed), Volksgrenadier types (scruffy and poorly uniformed and equipped, etc.).

Thanks in advance.

Offensive Miniatures has some Volkssturm…"Defenders of the Reich" range.

Also…don't Warlord have a "Last levee of the Reich" box?

Disco Joe22 Mar 2021 3:57 p.m. PST

Dave is correct in both counts. Warlord does have that box set and Offensive Miniatures have a number of packs that to me fit well with Warlord.

Thanks to both of you.

Having looked on Warlord's website, could not find them.

Found them on Offensive Miniatures website, but unless I sell one of my children, will pass them by. 5 pounds per figure is pretty rich (to me). Beautiful figures though.

Warlord figures are ridiculously large with silly proportions but you might have some luck with the Volksgrenadiers by Empress miniatures. These sculpts are far better than the Warlord stuff so they might still look proportionally odd together but worth the money.

Dan, Badger Games carry the Offensive Miniatures here in the states and although out of certain packs a pack of 10 figures costs about $21 USD which to me is reasonable but I don't know if you would feel the same.

I do, Disco, and as I live in Waukesha a few miles from them, I'll pay them a visit on-line. Thanks.
