I painted up some Israeli M-48s a couple years ago for Fistful of TOWs 3. These models are 1/285th scale by GHQ.

Please share your colors? I enjoy how it looks green from one angle and sand from another. |

Hi Scoutsout! The color I used for my 1967 Israelis is Humbrol #94 Brown Yellow. The Israelis changed their color a bit over the years with the 1973 color being a bit darker and the current color being darker and greener, sort of an OD. |

That is good information, sgt Dutch. Thanks for providing that. I based my color from a color chip from the period that I saw online. To my eyes at least, Humbrol #94 looked reasonably close to the chip listed for 1967. For my 1973 color, I used Humbrol #84 Middlestone which looked reasonable for the color chip I looked at. Testors Model Master Israeli Sand looked very close to the color chip for 1973 as well. |

Here is a series of Israeli colors from color chips showing the differences depending on the period. There is a marked difference between the colors of 1967,1973 and the current color. I have also included the Model Master Israeli Sand Gray as well. This seems to match the 1973 color pretty well. Although I have a bottle of this at home, I think the Model Master line has been discontinued.
