Seems to fall in an "In between" gaming period but for US soldiers to have that 1950s/60s Science Fiction film look which 28mm American ranges have the most usable weapons/uniforms and the nicest sculpts? |

link It might be a little late for you, but the Gringo40 28mm Nam figs are fantastic. They do have some US soldiers with M14s, and SMGs, and flamethrowers that would work for early 1960s. Mark |

Brigade Games has a full line for Atomic Cafe, a pulp sci-fi game set in 1957, including US troops as the 314th Federal Defense troops. |

I cant properly see the Brigade Games 314th Federal Defense Force. Photo is too small. I suppose the Killer B Games but the figures have no heavy weapons, but nice The Gringo 40 are truly great figures but too "Jungle" dress. I need neat soldiers from a local base in the USA sort of look. I considered the The Assault Group (TAG) WW2 US Marines but they seem tiny. Maybe the TAG Vietnam Marines? The Mongrel Miniatures American Marines have promise too. It's supposed to be a Sci-Fi film kind of look so accuracy isnt the be all, end all. And they do have heavy weapons. |

The troops that would respond likely national guard. so WWII equipment until the 70's US Army used WWII equipment until 1960 YouTube link total cool is the 1950 Paras with m1 carbines (m2 automatics for all) I am working on a game for convetnions 1950's bug invasions and the Guard unit is an armored AA platoon cause quad 50's are cool The plan is each player gets somthing a little different cops gangs farmers sorth of a Spaced Invaders (flim) kind of game. in 1966 units in Nam got m16 So you could use WWII equipment getting the uniforms and badges for the time period might be tricky. |
