A battle report for a random battle between French and Austrian forces. The objective is a town in the centre of the battlefield. The Austrians have a start position closer to the centre, while the French will have to advance into a deployed position. The better defensive position for the Austrians is offset by the stronger French leadership, the Guard reserve and horse artillery attached to the Cavalry Divisions.

The final result was a decisive French victory as the Austrian left flank collapsed.

A real feast for the eyes!

I like the water effect – adds more 'pop' alongside the colourful troops.

Nice terrain and beautiful troops. Do you separate cavalry by squadrons?

Two stands represent a half regiment at scale 1 to 50, so a cavalry unit represents roughly 2 to 4 squadrons at this scale

Looks good, what rules set?

wall6124 Mar 2021 2:29 p.m. PST

I use my own set loosely based on the command and colors rules. link
