For those who may have known him Ian Thompson,Thommo, Thommo the Lost , has died from the complications of COVID.

Thommo the Lost

He died in Manilla at 8 AM yesterday.

Like me, he was 66.

He had been living and working in Manila for some time.

I had known him since we were schoolboys in opposing debating teams, amongst other things.

He was at Kuringai HS while I was at Turramurra HS.

Long time ago now.

Sad day

Oh no … I knew Thommo through blogging, but a chance post triggered the realisation that we had lived barely a few miles apart for several years, visiting the same places. I'd imagined we might catch up some time frown

Sad day. RIP Thommo. 66 is too young.

Very sad. I knew him only through various sites and the occasional interaction over the years but he was a good fellow and a genuine gentleman.

I was friends via the internet with Ian for many years, and since covid struck he, I and others in Singapore, Australia and New Zealand have been having regular chats via Zoom and other means. Today's chat was a very much sadder event, but toasted with a burger in his memory. Rest easy old friend.

Terrible and unexpected news. Avid follower of his blog and we conversed via the comments section a number of times over the last 10 years or so. He was the only other person I know who also loved using the Tarzans Grip glue for gaming purposes. RIP Thommo.
