Hi all, Does anyone know of a decent online tutorial for painting 1/600 aircraft? I've painted loads, but I always feel that they could look better. The ones on the Wings at War website are stunning – wingsatwar.com – and there some equally nice photos posted here. It might just be that my eyes aren't as good as they used to be, or that – ahem – I've just been rushing to get things on the table, but any advice (especially with regard to painting canopy frames) much appreciated. I tend to use Osprey Aircraft of the Aces books to get camo schemes for my subjects. If not a Google image search usually turns up tons of stuff. For painting canopies I tend to paint the whole canopy in the camo colour then paint the perspex black. I also try and use decals for national markings where available. If not then have to resort to hand painting. But do whatever you think makes them look good. Hope this helps, B |
