Good AAR. I found it interesting that you noted the SAMs didn't do much, but that was pretty true historically. If you look at the stats for how many were fired and how many hit their target I think it was less than 2% if I remember right. In game terms they are a threat that needs to be taken into consideration and they make players realize that you can't just ignore them as there's always that one that may have your name on it. In real life terms, however, they didn't really shoot down that many aircraft compared to the number of missiles fired. Best estimates were that it took 18 missiles to down an aircraft in 1965, then as ECM gear and Iron Hand missions improved, it took 107 missiles to score a hit in the late 60s and later. AAA was the real killer and strike aircraft going low should be susceptible to attack.
