The Germans make their second attack of campaign turn 3 in our Bloody Bucket campaign for Chain of Command. This time they fall on Holzthum Village at Map 3. Can this platoon of Volksgrenadiers have more success than the platoon that attacked Skyline Drive? Full AAR is here: Map 3 Holzthum Village

Thanks, a great insight into your thinking on deployment which is what makes these AARs so enthralling and instructive. In the end this fight seemed brutally simple, climaxing with both sides concentrating all their machineguns in one almighty shoot-out. Not exactly a masterclass but effective.
This time being in hard cover really did seem to make a big difference, but it's hard to tell with the Volksgrenadiers being punished for their lack of experience (green rating). I was surprised when your opponent withdrew but I guess with his morale collapsing it was probably best. The US were also lucky with their morale throws allowing them to resurrect most of their 'dead' which means the Germans have very little to show for their sacrifice.
Can't wait for next one!

Your stuff is always the best.

Never stop.

Also, great paint on the German camo!

Another eagerly awaited AAR. As usually best AAR on the market.
