With the fighting only really lasting six years, it was all over bar the shouting after Yorktown, ten doesn't seem very picky? |

Thanks, MP. No, I haven't read it, but will put it in my list. I wouldn't exactly call George Rogers Clark nothing but "shouting". |

There was LOTS of fighting during 1782. It was a world war. And the Carolinas collapsed into a Hobbesian state of nature, very bloody. |

The Siege of Gibraltar was only lifted, formally, in February 1783. |

I picked it up. I found it to be a little more info on the chosen battles then is in the old Battlefield Atlas of The Revolution by Symonds, thats about it. I think the maps also come from that book. Lengel's Military Bio on Washington remains one of my favorite books. |

With the fighting only really lasting six years, it was all over bar the shouting after Yorktown… The Laurens family might just disagree with you. If you are killed or wounded in a large battle or a small skirmish you are still injured or dead. |
