We've started the 'Bloody Bucket' campaign for Chain of Command set in the Ardennes where elements of the US 28th Division are defending Skyline Drive against the 26th Volksgrenadier Division. I've been wanting to play this for a while as the campaign structure is different than usual and offers much for both players to think about even before we see action on any one of the maps.

I've been pulling together the various additional elements I need for the campaign including miniatures and terrain and you can see that here:

Given the nature of the campaign I've posted a background guide so that readers can follow what each player is trying to do: A guide to the Bloody Bucket campaign

We've also started the initial campaign turns and you can follow what happens here: Bloody Bucket campaign turns 1 & 2

Great blog, and great to be able to comment again on TMP.

Who's the manufacturer for the surrendering Germans? I never have enough and the couple at the back work well as prisoners, wounded or both.

Look fantastic in every respect. Looking forward to seeing how things turn out.

Just enjoyed Turn 3 Scenario 2 where the above prisoners were taken. A question; what, if any heavy weapons area available on the German support list before the river Our crossing is secured? I would've like some mortars or an infantry gun to reach across all that open ground.

The heaviest weapon is the MG42, so the best German tactic is probably to hold off on this map until the Our is bridged and they have access to things like a leIG18 or armour (PzIVH or a Panther).
