…Under The Rising Ocean?

"The Air Force is spending $1.75 USD million to gauge the effects of future sea-level rise at Wake Island Airfield, located on a remote Pacific atoll that is a key asset in America's missile defense system.

The "inundation study" was contracted out by the Pacific Air Forces Regional Support Center in September and is slated for completion in March 2022, Pacific Air Forces said in a statement provided Wednesday to Stars and Stripes…"

I'm surprised they kept Wake but shut down Midway.

Easy fix: everyone who goes there must fill their pockets with sand or dirt. Then leave it there.
Simple…

I flew there once to refuel on my way from Japan. I played ping pong with my copilot on a table tennis they had in a hangar while I was waiting for the jet to be refueled, There's not much to the island beyond the runway and an old tank half buried in the sand.

Shouldn't the answer be obvious, one way or the other? Isn't this something that can simply be measured?

Hire the Chinese, they have experience at building up islands from nothing. I'm sure they could fill in the lagoon and add height to surpass ocean rise due to global warming.

I suspect that IS very unlikely, since the current "Climate Czar" recently bought an approximately $20 USD MILLION beach-front mansion, and it is not on stilts.

If sea level rise were an imminent threat, I doubt he'd spend that kind of money on it, or at least they'd get one that had the main floor 20+ feet above sea level.

Just need to redistribute everything evenly over the island so it doesn't tip over like Guam almost did… ;-)
