I like to create and use unit cards in my games. For me they take up less table space and are an easy way to interact with the various units on the table vs charts and logs. I have created a simple excel file featuring the AWI unit stats for Sharp Practice.

One tab is for Crown Forces, one tab if for Colonial Forces and one for Leaders of both sides. The file also contains a 4 page QRS (2 pages DS).

The tabs are easy to use – for the units, you simply have to select the type of unit you want to make – ie "British Regulars 1777" and all of the stats for that unit will populate.

For leaders, you click on the Name cell and provide your character's name, the level you want this leader to be and if he is Crown, Colonial or a Civilian. There is a section which lets you select the units you have created on the Troop sheets to identify any units he is leading. If you want further character, you can generate a profile and select those characteristics on the leader's card.

All of this I then print out, cut up and place into Ultra-pro card holders. Red for Crown, Blue for Colonial, Green for Leaders.

I have no idea if this is of interest or use to anyone else but I have been the beneficiary of so many other things that folks have shared here I thought I would throw this out there. I don't normally share files on TMP so I am hoping this link works. Each of the tabs are protected but there is no password so you are free to unlock then and make any modification you would like. I cleared this file with Richard Clarke before posting here.

Hope this is helpful in some small way.

I don't play the game, but I gotta say, that is very generous of you to share what was obviously some work.

I just noticed that fonts don't embed in excel so I have created a zip file of the two fonts that I use, Duality and Benjamin Franklin for this file. They give it a more period feel. The fonts are located here. easy to install, just open the zip files, down to the fonts. Your computer will recognize them as TTFs and give you a button to install them in your font library.
