(I posted this on Consumer Affairs but just found this board)
------------------------

stonewallfigures.co.uk sells painted 18mm Napoleonic battalions of all the major armies. I ordered 6 units of 24 figures each and they were posted out 3 weeks later.

The figures are perfectly fine for the massed Napoleonic battlefield. Scottish troops even have tartan! The figures may not be as high a quality as AB figures for for mass battles when you have dozen's of units I find them a great service.

There is a lot of flash on the underside (only) of base that needs to be filed off and the figures are not washed or highlighted. I did my own basic wash and then put them on bases myself. For someone who is hard of seeing and unable to paint my own figures, this service and figures are a god send.

Cost is 19 pounds per 24 figures for a battalion or 6 pounds for a gun or general.

Examples of the figures unwashed can be found on my blog at:

(Note the first unit is my own paint job of AB figures)

Washed and based:

There also pictures of 3 (soon to be 4) battles with the figures on the table. Note the battles consists of 2/3 of other units that was loaned – you can tell them apart by the base).

It takes 2-3 weeks for the order to be shipped (my orders have been 6 to 8 battalions at a time).

(Apologies for not posting pictures, but they show up too big on here).

Mark is a great guy. His company is a one-man band and he is very dedicated to the hobby.

I have bought well over a hundred painted packs from him, Napoleonic and Carlist Wars. yes the painting is basic but with a quick ouch up and a wash they come up rally nicely. The time saved is great and at the price, you would be silly not to take advantage!

I got some more battalions and got more photos at link – this time a light infantry, line infantry and 2 6 pounder guns.

I've looked on their website but where is the info on postage, returns, etc? Thx!

I buy these figures too

I have 6 infantry battalions and 2 cavalry units to base at this moment in time

Personally, I think these figures are a great (cheap!) way to bulk out an army
