We had a very enjoyable game: the scenario was a type of Teutoberg Forest concept. The Romans had to traverse the board (hilly & forested) to reach the fort, whilst the Celts lay hidden in ambush. This was handled by map movement.
The ultimate goal:

The Romans were in two columns. The going was tough. Movement & visibility both limited the usual Roman superiority:

In spite of due vigilance the smaller Roman column was largely wiped out.

Ultimately, attacks broke out on all sides. Sadly, the main Romans were worn down & unable to reach the fort before nightfall.

Oh, this is great!!!! I see some Airfix figs in there. Nice! Table is impressive as well as the troops. Just as expected from you. How long did the fort take to make. It is very nicely done.
thumbs up thumbs up

Thanks!

John

This would be an ideal period shift for the Ian Beck Pony Wars rules with all players on the same side as Romans.

Very nice looking game

Great game with nice figures and terrain. It shows how 1/72 plastics are a great alternative. Celts, Germans, and other Barbarians have a much better chance to do well in ambush scenarios than in pitched battles. Great setup and game. Cheers!

Awesome looking game. Beautiful brushwork on the figures and I really like the fort.
