Does anyone have any info on this unit. Seems like the militia/volunteer units are hard to get info on. At this point I am assuming a mix of regular army and civilian dress.

Page 89 of Brassey's MAW uniform book states that they started off in drab beaver tricorn hats, knee length boots faced with red morocco. They are described as unshorn. In Sept of 1846 they are described as barefooted, many without hats and coats, and some without breeches.

Adam's book echoes Brassey, but he speculates that they may have been issued blue army trousers, but this is not known.
