In Star Wars:Rebels, Captain Rex states that the clones were stood down.
Dave Filoni in Rebels Recon said that some Clones became trainers for the new Stormtrooper corps, but the rest retired. So no, I don't think it ever happened, though go for it if you want to (My money is on the Clone Troopers though!!!) Now, if you want to pit Battle Droids against Stormtroopers… YouTube link |

One of the video games had the new 501st Stormtrooper Legion crushing a rebellion on Kamino where they had wiped up a new batch of clone troopers, I believe its still canon. One thing about the Clone war era clones is that they were due to rapid aging all reaching the end of usefulness when the Stormtroopers were forming. |

The older Clones Rex and a few others along with the Crew in REBELs and some Battledroids (who had been left as guards of an old CIS base) fought the Empire. Thanks. John |

I know Rex, Wolf and Gregor fought imperials on the dome on Lothal, but I don't really count that as they were only a small part of the Rebels assault.
Rex was the only clone to 'fight' the Empire in the Rebel's episode 'The Last Battle', Rex also fought Stormtroopers in other episodes (EG Stealth Strike)-- I ignored these for the same reason. |

@Mister Tibbles – Star Wars land battles are dumb, Star Wars space battles are dumb, Star Wars skirmishes are dumb. Militarily it's like everyone has severe brain damage. They make 40K look like a tactical simulation. But it's Star Wars – If you want to fight Clone Troopers vs Storm Troopers, make up a scenario. It will be as canonically sound as 90% of the novels and fan movies that have been created. |
